""note bleu" from the dropper"
never managed to determine if this track is corrupted on my copy of the disk or if the band actually managed to play something that disjointed. does anyone have the background on this track?

I guess it's all subjective, but the album version of Note Bleu has never really struck me as especially "disjointed" - especially in the context of the rest of the album. In fact, I'd say it's possibly the most straight forward tune on the album (which is my favorite by the way). Not sure what you're hearing, I suppose there is a bit of ambience at the start of the track, and Ribot has some moments of odd phrasing and harmonies in his accompaniment, but overall, a very straightforward track in my opinion. It's excellent.

Well said, dougfleurs!

bloodnok, sounds like its time to score a fresh copy of the album -- if THAT's the dropper track you find most disjointed, you must be listening to a glitch-tastic CD scratch version!
