For everyone who already bought the Radio series and do not own a record player, it would be quite cool and pleasing to the true fans if MMW released the Live and Remix Cds along with the Fly DVD together. Why do bands make you buy things twice? Why do you dis the fans that buy your disks the day they come out and reward the slackers? I don't want to imply greed, but that is the way record companies think.

I agree with you to an extent. Having already bought the three discs, I would like to have the option to buy only the additional material. But in the boys' defense, it was clearly stated before the first album came out that a box set was coming. This is their livelihood, and let's face it; they're not making Jagger money. I don't really mind supporting them and what they do. It does stick in my craw a little bit that I'm buying I-III again. I think what I plan to do with the repeat discs is to give them to someone who hasn't experienced MMW yet. I think that's kind of a good spin to put on it. BTW, WTF is up with no 'ween show this year? Not that I can ever go, but I still like to download it.

Thanks for the heads up Duggy. I appreciate the work you guys put into making all this stuff available. I've only been a fan for a couple of years so It's cool to hear where the band has gone musically over time.

I came home to a happy surprize hanging from my mailbax today. I'm itching to tear into it, but I'm going to wait until my girl gets home. I'm going to have to go to my mom's house to listen to the LP tho. She's the only person I know who has a record player. It's vintage too. It's an Acoustic Research unit from the mid 60's. Hope it still works. I noticed that the vinyl discs are much thicker than I remember them being when I was a kid. I imagine that will make them less likely to warp. Oh well, peace out kids. Hope yours comes soon,

Mine came today, the records sound great. The live album is cool too, it seems like it's just a few live tracks from separate shows. The remixed tracks are great from what i've heard, i haven't listened to all of it yet. I think the dvd is a little boring. There are a few cool scenes, you get to see john play his solos from broken mirror and undone, there's a short scene of chris smoking a blunt. they obviously don't say what it is but i've never seen a cigarette like that.

Now that I've watched it again, I think the dvd is pretty cool. It's tough to sit through the entire thing but you get to see a good amount of playing.

I love the DVD. I enjoyed watching them interact. Having not met them, I only know their stage performance. I would actually like to see Billy do more filming. It was a really fun look into their lives. Have you guys noticed the bonus tracks on I-III?

I was at Camp MMW and we got to see the premiere of the DVD back in Aug. Somebody asked about the scene with Chris and it's not a joint or a (regular) rolled cigarette, it's an herbal cigarette and Liz is showing him the correct way to smoke it.

haha yeah john called the herbal cigarette a jazz cigarette! but I've got to say the white records in the box set are classy as can be! I'm really satisfied with what they've put together

I am sort of new to MMW (this year, past 6 months or so). I saw them live in Knoxville this year, and for the first time in my life (I'm 42) I really have a true favorite band! They might remember me, I was the diminuative slighly enebriated man that bought a Tshirt after the concert in Knoxville and was dragged away from the signing of it by my slightly perturbed wife...I now understand some of those groupie fanatics out there, believe it or not... I want to follow them all over the country! I watched the DVD today from the boxed set, and I LOVED it! Yes, there are a few slow parts to it, but as a whole I felt it was a beautiful glimpse into the true MMW. Watching John jamming out to Broken Mirror (the same one from the trailor), was simply phenomenal, and absolutely makes the DVD worth the wait easily! All 3 of these guys are awesome. I find myself swapping from one to the other for my favorite player, and I truly change day by day. Guys, keep it up! There are a few of us out here smiling, jamming, and ecstatic that you are doing YOUR thing!

Well, as I live in Brazil my box set only arrived yesterday. It is the first box set I ever bought, and I am glad that is a MMW box. Very fine material, beautiful packaging! The remix disc is amazing - I cannot imagine how difficult it is to re-create these tunes...amazing! The live disc and the DVD are great as well! Thanks MMW!!! Peace and a great 2010 to all!
