I taped two shows in the 90s that I just got back and had ripped to FLAC:1998/10/15 Ritz, Raleigh, NC Nak300/cp1>D8
1999/5/13 9:30 Club, Washington, DC Nak300/cp1>Zefiro InBox>D8
I believe there may be other sources out there for both of these, but at least w/r/t the Raleigh show, I think mine is probably better.
I don't think I ever traded either of these, though I did patch someone analog at the Ritz show.
I am slowly going through them slowly and trying to seed them all. These are the only two MMW shows I ever taped, and I am far from an expert on this band.
I am hoping a kind volunteer who knows what they are doing can do the following:
For Raleigh:
I am almost done tracking it, though some of mine is probably wrong. Also, I think (!) the setlist on mmwsetlists.com is not accurate, or at least, it seems there are about 30mins more of music unaccounted for. Full show is about 2:32.
I would want someone to simply download my split FLACs, listen, and tell me specifically where my mistakes are in the show (e.g., "you should put a split at 1:15") so I can put the splits in the right places before I upload to etree.
For the DC show:
1. Download the show (each is stored as one very long single FLAC file, ripped from the original DAT)
2. Track, and re-export as split FLACs
3. Upload them back to my site.
I will give whoever helps out full credit for doing so. I can handle the seeding end of things myself; I have a T1 line so plenty of b/w to work with!
Anyway, I hope these will be a good contribution. Even if there are other sources, these should be new to most people. In both cases, I had optimum placement, so mine should be pretty competitive with anything else out there.
If interested, please click the link above to email me. Please let me know what software you intend to use as well.
Cheers.
